Storage Architecture Solutions
EqualLogic | Xiotech | Dell | Hewlett Packard

HP is a technology solutions provider to consumers, businesses and institutions globally. The company's offerings span IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services and imaging and printing for consumers, enterprises and small and medium businesses.

The HP SAN is a key component of the HP Adaptive Enterprise. It is the network element of the entire storage architecture, providing the infrastructure platform to deliver complete, open network storage solutions

The HP StorageWorks SAN provides industry leading connectivity platforms to deploy, manage and operate today's demanding networked storage enterprise environments. It delivers the physical connectivity that, when combined with the other elements of HP's solution, brings into reality the well established benefits of network storage: significantly reducing the Total Cost of Ownerships (TCO) while maintaining high returns on investment (100-500%). Most important however, are the ways SANs impact competitive advantage by improving the business agility and capacity to react to today's business challenges.

This release of the HP StorageWorks SAN significantly increases the flexibility and agility of the fabric infrastructure, by enabling modularity in SAN deployments. This is accomplished via subnet routing technology. Modular designs significantly increase SAN scalability and ROI on storage assets by enabling more extensive device sharing and consolidation levels, without sacrificing stability and service levels.

Through the SAN island isolation provided by subnet routing, customers can share devices like arrays and tape libraries between SANs without increasing stability risks, and service levels.
